Ashford Needle Felting Kits
Some of these kits contain wire, pipe cleaners, or armature, and from my personal experience I think that they would not be for beginners that are new to the needle felting craft.
Also, in my experience, whenever there's a kit that contains single (width) pipe cleaners for legs, and the felted body is at the correct density, the pipe cleaner legs may not be strong enough for the bird to stand properly or the legs may splay outward. If this happens to you, all hope is not lost - you can easily thread a string into the needle felt and make it a Christmas tree ornament.
